When freeze-thaw has spalled the brick on your chimney in Avenue Collection, St. Thomas, or the mortar joints have deteriorated to sand, a proper rebuild — or partial rebuild with tuckpointing — restores structural integrity and stops the water damage cycle.

Why chimney rebuild & tuckpointing matters in Avenue Collection, St. Thomas

Structural Safety

A crumbling chimney can drop bricks — a real liability during storms in Avenue Collection, St. Thomas.

Tuckpointing Explained

Grinding out old mortar joints and repacking with fresh mortar. Adds 30+ years to a masonry chimney.

Partial vs Full Rebuild

If only the crown-level courses are damaged, we rebuild the top 4–8 courses. Full rebuilds are rare and only when the entire stack is compromised.

Camera scan caught a cracked tile
Previous company swept and said everything was fine. Diamond ran a camera and showed me a cracked liner tile on screen. Glad I got the second opinion.

Level 2 for a house sale
Recorded the whole flue on video for the buyer's agent. The chimney line item stopped being a negotiation point the same day.

Raccoon eviction and cap fitted
Family of raccoons in the flue. They removed them humanely, cleaned everything, and fitted a stainless guard that has kept them out since.
Alicia D. - Ajax - 2026-02-25
