A chimney cap keeps rain, snow, animals, and debris out of your flue in Eglinton East, Scarborough. A chimney without a cap is an open pipe pointed at your fireplace — birds nest in it every spring, and water pours into it every rainstorm.

Second flue done same visit
Old house with a furnace flue as well. They handled both in one visit and discounted the second one rather than charging full price twice.

Raccoon eviction and cap fitted
Family of raccoons in the flue. They removed them humanely, cleaned everything, and fitted a stainless guard that has kept them out since.

Recorded the whole flue on video for the buyer's agent. The chimney line item stopped being a negotiation point the same day.
