Where your chimney meets the roof in EdgeWater Estates, Kilworth is the single most leak-prone spot on your entire home. Proper chimney flashing has two layers — step flashing woven into the shingles and counter-flashing tucked into the brick mortar joints. When either fails, water tracks straight into the wall.

Why chimney flashing repair matters in EdgeWater Estates, Kilworth

Two-Layer System

Real chimney flashing is a two-part system. Anyone offering to 'just caulk it' is selling you a 12-month fix.

Mortar Cut Matters

Counter-flashing must be cut into the mortar joints — not surface-mounted. Surface-mount flashing on a chimney lasts one winter.

Ice And Water Shield

A proper chimney rework includes ice-and-water membrane under the flashing for a redundant seal.

Chimney Flashing Repair reviews in EdgeWater Estates, Kilworth

4.9 average from 743 verified customer reviews
Good work, tight scheduling
Had to move my appointment once, but the sweep itself was excellent and the crown sealing has held through the winter with no water staining.
Greg W. - Burlington - 2025-10-21
Thorough sweep before the season
Drop cloths went down before anything else. Room was spotless afterwards and they fixed a loose cap on the spot rather than booking a second visit.
Emily T. - Etobicoke - 2026-02-09
Raccoon eviction and cap fitted
Family of raccoons in the flue. They removed them humanely, cleaned everything, and fitted a stainless guard that has kept them out since.
Alicia D. - Ajax - 2026-02-25
Wood stove cleaning done right
Careful, knowledgeable, and explained the creosote grading so I actually understood why it mattered. Booking was easy and they arrived inside the window.
Jonathan P. - Oakville - 2026-01-27

FAQ

Why did my flashing fail?

Almost always because it was surface-mounted and caulked instead of cut into the mortar.

Do you cut into the brick?

Yes — that's the only way to do this repair properly. It's called a reglet cut.

Timeline?

Most chimney re-flashing jobs are a same-day, one-crew job.
