When freeze-thaw has spalled the brick on your chimney in Kortright West, Guelph, or the mortar joints have deteriorated to sand, a proper rebuild — or partial rebuild with tuckpointing — restores structural integrity and stops the water damage cycle.

Why chimney rebuild & tuckpointing matters in Kortright West, Guelph

Structural Safety

A crumbling chimney can drop bricks — a real liability during storms in Kortright West, Guelph.

Tuckpointing Explained

Grinding out old mortar joints and repacking with fresh mortar. Adds 30+ years to a masonry chimney.

Partial vs Full Rebuild

If only the crown-level courses are damaged, we rebuild the top 4–8 courses. Full rebuilds are rare and only when the entire stack is compromised.

Fast after a smoke back-up
Smoke came into the living room on a Sunday evening. They were here the next morning, found a nest, cleared it, and tested the draft before leaving.
Kevin O. - Brampton - 2026-03-08
Report my insurer accepted
Needed dated documentation for renewal. The report had the technician certification number and photos, and my insurer accepted it without a follow-up question.
Rachel B. - Vaughan - 2025-12-12
Level 2 for a house sale
Recorded the whole flue on video for the buyer's agent. The chimney line item stopped being a negotiation point the same day.
Tom H. - Markham - 2026-04-03
Honest about what I did not need
They told me the flue did not need sweeping yet and charged only for the inspection. First contractor in years to talk me out of spending money.
